Job Description

Position: Corporate Tax Manager, some International
Requirements: CPA, Degree Accounting
Years: 7+ years
Requirements: Some International Tax, Needs to imclue Planning
Relo: Available for the right person
Location: Portland, OR

This position will report directly to the CFO, will have a lot of board exposure and will be involved in executive decision making. Total experience should inclulde 2+ years of international exposure. This company is profitable, currently generating cash, and has a management team with 10-12 years of average longevity. This is a stable company.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage and coordinate federal and foreign tax planning and special projects
  • Manage North American tax compliance work
  • Review US GAAP income tax provisions and SFAS 109 matters for US and non-US entities
  • Design, develop and implement processes necessary to accumulate the above information on a timely basis
  • Manage tax examinations and audits for IRS and state agencies, will include foreign jurisdictions
  • Manage US tax compliance for foreign operations (preparation of Form 5471s, 8858, 1118, etc.)
  • Research domestic and international tax issues
  • Serve as primary liaison for executive team and board of directors on income tax matters

    Skills Required:
  • Seven plus years progressive tax experience
  • Strong background in federal, state, and international income tax compliance and research
  • Experience with US GAAP (SFAS 109/FIN 48) for publicly traded corporations
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop tax staff
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience with transfer pricing
