Description
Manager of Power Generation Kodiak Electric Association, Inc. (KEA) is seeking applicants for the position of Manager of Power Generation. KEA is a RUS generation, transmission, and distribution electric cooperative in Kodiak, Alaska, located 252 air miles southwest of Anchorage. KEA operates and maintains 324 miles of distribution lines, six substations, two diesel generator power plants, one combined cycle plant, one hydroelectric plant, and one wind farm. This position is responsible for overall performance of power generation facilities and equipment, and insures that adequate generation is available at all times to meet KEA's system load requirement.
A degree in engineering is preferred, ten years of power generation experience is preferred, and progressive and proven power generation knowledge and leadership with supervisory experience is required. Kodiak Island is a sportsman's paradise and offers numerous fishing, hunting, and recreational activities. Starting salary is based on experience and qualifications and includes an excellent NRECA benefit package and a relocation reimbursement.
