We are looking for a Director of Sales who excels in finding the decision maker, negotiating a "win" for both parties and servicing clients to ensure repeat business. Our Directors of Sales are confident in their selling skills and aren't afraid of a competitive marketplace. The successful candidate will be able to identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts to achieve success. Requirements Here's what the position entails:

  • Sales Leadership: manages the sales department to ensure activity and booking goals are met or exceeded. Develops action plans to ensure the success. Interviews, hires, manages, rewards and disciplines associates as necessary.

  • Strategic Planning: Develops and executes an annual business plan.

  • Daily Responsibilities: achieves new business booking goals by making sales calls to prospective clients in accordance with preassigned goals. Coordinates with various departments the activities related to book business, negotiate rate and service plans to meet budgeted revenue goals.

  • Client Services: responsible for client satisfaction by ensuring overall quality of group, transient and catering sales efforts in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Account Management: ensures account productivity by maintaining client satisfaction and continuous rapport building through regular sales calls and proper file maintenance.

  • Marketing: develops and implements special promotions to increase business from specific market segments.

    Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience: 3-5 years hotel sales experience required, Delphi/DMPE experience preferred
