Chevyland, one of the leading auto dealerships in the South, has an opening for a qualified Service Advisor.
The service advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in our Service Department and for selling additional needed service to customers. The service advisor is the dealership's first-line customer-relations and service representative.
Job Responsibilities:
o Greet customers in a prompt, courteous manner, and determine the nature of their mechanical problems.
o Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed.
o Test drive the vehicle with the customer if there is any question regarding the nature of the problem
o Inspect all vehicles for bodywork, notify the customer if work is needed and provide an estimate for body shop work
o Handle customer complaints and misunderstandings.
o Answer telephone inquires regarding work in process and appointments and return phone messages promptly
o Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work preformed and explain charges and coverage
o Interpret warranty information and policies to customers
o Stay up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership
o Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments
o Advise customers of parts ordered and make an appointment to have them installed before customer leaves
Requirements
o Great customer service skills and related experience are musts
o Must be able to work a flexible schedule
o High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 year or 4 year Business Degree or related field.
o Meet company's employment requirements, including drug screen, background check
o Must have valid driver's license
o Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
o Demonstrated customer service skills
o Previous industry knowledge
o Sales experience a plus
o ASE/GM certification preferred
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Professional appearance
