Responsibilities - Ethernet Engineer:

  • Network Engineer position within the Product Engineering Team at AT&T Alascom in Anchorage, Alaska.
  • This position will support Ethernet and enhanced Microwave Solutions.
  • Responsible for engineering and enhancing existing Ethernet microwave network.
  • Should be familiar with routing protocols, firewall services, and Juniper equipment.
  • Should have an understanding of designing, building, and implementing carrier class networks as it relates to Ethernet and Microwave services.
  • This individual should have a full working knowledge of network technology and WAN transmission types in general.

Ethernet Engineer
Requirements - Ethernet Engineer:

  • The following experience is required in this job opportunity: Should have experience with engineering and designing Ethernet networks.
  • Needs to have commercial experience with Firewall Services, Network Management systems, and infrastructure design.
  • Should have an understanding of Ethernet design as it relates to a microwave transport network.
  • Requires a working knowledge of recommending, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting business customers WAN or VPLS services.
  • Desire Cisco or like certification in IP services.
  • Should have engineering experience working within a telecommunications carriers network.
  • Needs to understand how to recommend and test new technology from commercial vendors.
