Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Manages the complete life cycle for a defined brand from conception to exit.
· Develops annual strategic plan for defined brand(s) to include macro and micro industry trends, performance projections, gross margin targets, distribution strategies, etc.
· Monitors current market trends in order to effectively direct strategy for the division.
· Leads the business aspect of a new product development project, including (but not limited to) the development of business cases/business plans, key product/technology core messaging, marketing and advertising materials to support the product, forecasting and training.
· Interacts extensively with surgeon customers involved in new product development projects, including written and verbal communication, training, and development meetings.
· Serves as the business leader for defined brand(s) and works extensively with various internal departments, including operations, sales, legal, compliance, regulatory, and clinical affairs.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)
· BA or BS degree in related field required, MBA preferred.
· Minimum 4 years experience in brand management of medical devices or pharmaceuticals required.
· Proven track record of life cycle management, specifically new product launch.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (list required and preferred separately)
· Strong analytical skills, including forecasting, trend modeling, and working knowledge of financial analyses such as Income Statement, NPV, Payback Period.
· Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
· Mature judgment and excellent follow through in all areas of responsibility
· Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, assign priorities and ensure efforts are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner
· Ability and willingness to travel
· Proven ability to manage and motivate others and coordinate efforts to ensure efficient and successful outcomes
· Ability to work as an integral team member combining the strengths and abilities of a group to successfully accomplish corporate goals
· Ability to act independently on behalf of the company
· Ability to influence others to action, even though they don't report to them
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
