Pssghetti’s is a dynamic, privately-owned food and beverage restaurant, banquet facility & marketplace.
Pssghetti’s is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager for our neighborhood restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine.
The position initially will require individual to start up operations for new 300 + seat open kitchen restaurant, with banquet & retail in Clearwater, Florida. Responsible for all FOH functions including providing restaurant guests with friendly and professional service, excellent food quality, strong price value and consistency of execution in an attractive, well-maintained environment.
Further responsibilities include personnel development objectives and meeting the company's financial goals. This person will be responsible for sustained success and growth of the restaurant/bar as measured by total revenue, and net income in relation to budgeted goals, customer satisfaction and achievement of owner's objectives.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operation of the Restaurant, Bar and Lounge.
- Coordinate with the Manager and actions to achieve improved operations, overcome deficiencies, and institute necessary changes.
- Perform regular inspection of all areas in order to direct work. Emphasis to be on sanitation and cleanliness.
- Supervise and direct service as well as staff within the restaurant.
- Assist with monthly departmental meeting.
- Spot-check guest checks to ensure proper check handling procedures are being adhered to.
- Be aware of the budget and continuously work towards achieving budgeted goals.
- Prepare floor plan according to reservation.
- Schedule dining room personnel with forecasted business ensuring that staffing is adequate and yet within budgetary goals.
- Promote and maintain good employee relations, including service kitchen and dining room staff.
- Ensure Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety/ security policy are met.
- Lead efforts in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring colleagues; conduct performance reviews on an ongoing basis, take disciplinary action when necessary, motivate and train staff.
- Ensure company standards for equipment, facility, and grounds are met and maintained by using a preventative maintenance program.
Qualifications:
- A college degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as and Assistant Manager
- Ability to perform all Closing Duties of Restaurant, Coffee Shop & Marketplace
- A passionate mind interested in culinary operations
- Calm mentoring demeanor is required for this high visibility position.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

- Training Experience
- Freestanding restaurant experience necessary
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate people.
