Sales/Business Development Manager

60-70k base

Job Description:
Immediate need: Growing Long Island company is seeking a proactive BDM to identify and develop new business opportunities; MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CHANNEL SALES, VALUE ADDED RE-SALE TO THIRD PARTY DISTRIBUTOR (RE-SELLER) ;  develop and manage channel sales pipeline as well as assisting other BDMs; develop customer presentations at a senior level; customer sales staff training; liaise with the marketing function in developing promotional tools and programs for new and existing products; Contribute to the commercial program for the product range such as pricing and stock requirements; Provide market intelligence and feedback to marketing, engineering and other appropriate divisions, Manage and attend trade shows
Must have the ability to influence decision makers, dynamic, energetic and positive attitude
Visionary, creative with excellent communication and presentation skills,
Certain amount of local and national travel will be expected as well as attending trade shows.

 

Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree
Five plus years proven track record of selling to channel partners or major accounts
Project management experience
Understanding of the commercial aspects of product management
Ability to plan
Demonstrate strong sales negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities and revenue streams
Strong knowledge of MS Office
