Description The Des Moines Register has an opening for an aggressive, self-motivated Outside Account Executive to join our advertising team. The successful candidate will strive to secure new business as well as maintain and develop new accounts in reaching their target market through print and digital media. Ability to understand and utilize market research and competitive data is a necessity. Qualified candidates will be able to produce and present sales presentations, have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment

 

Requirements High school diploma required with a college degree in advertising or related field strongly preferred. Minimum 1-3 years sales experience and valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required. Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products and database applications strongly preferred. Previous newspaper or other media sales experience a plus.
