Jr Programmer

POSITION SUMMARY:

·          Designs, modifies and maintains coding structures. 

·          Analyzes requirements and determines the best solution within the specified parameters, code the necessary logic and perform unit testing to ensure its validity.

·          Maintains an open line of communication with staff.

·          Provides progress reports and feedback on departmental issues.

·          Liaises with users to gather requirements as well as to problem solve system issues. 

·          Coordinates and prioritizes multiple projects at the same time.

·          Identifies and resolves issues using a balance of functional and technical expertise. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)

·         Bachelor's degree in a technical field required or 2-3 years working knowledge of any of the following:  Visual Basic, .Net, MS Access, HTML/ASP, or JavaScript required. 

·         Experience with the following is preferred:  Windows 2000 or XP, SQL server, and/or MS IIS server., participation in at least one full system development life cycle which included joint application development (JAD)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (list required and preferred separately)

·          Demonstrates strong coding practices.  

·          Must show examples of being a team player that is action oriented and who is results driven.

·         Must be willing to work off hours and travel to remote offices when necessary to achieve the goals of the RTI Biologics IT department.

·         Must be a self-starter, results oriented person who works well in a team environment

·          Must have effective communication skills
