Description

Our RNs work as leaders in our care team.  Incumbents will administer and direct quality nursing care to patients.  Responsibilities include:  Ensuring and/or processing physician orders, responding to patient requests and needs, administering medications and therapeutic care, IV therapy or IV delivery of medication, documenting activities, checking vitals, assisting patients with pain management, working with physicians and other care team professionals to ensure patient comfort, safety and healing.

Requirements

Current LA Licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Current CPR certification.

Other certifications may be required for assignments to specialty units. (ACLS for assignment to ER/ICU; PALS for assignment to L&D)

Excellent customer service skills; working knowledge of PCs and/or computerized patient charting; ability to work positively with a team; good communication skills—verbal and written; ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to direct/lead others in a respectful, professional manner.
