Description 1. Establish and maintain relationship with Vocational Club leaders/participants. 2. Work with local agencies to ascertain employee needs for the various legacy programs: a. possible salaries b. skill sets c. mentor and apprentice opportunities 3. Research and be familiar with local technical schools and educational programs available for additional education options for members. a) Promotion of program to local institutions. b) Understanding the curriculum of these institutions. c) Create a data bank of educational institutions to be shared with our members. d) Development of a list of potential guest speakers.. 4. Help create exciting initiatives utilizing # 2-3 that will motivate and excite members to enroll and retain interest in Vocational programs. 5. Coordinate existing programs within each vocational group for appropriate age members. 6. Coordinate program elements in order to better utilize resources. For example, members in the Construction program can use the woodworking classes at the Admirals Club. 8. Arrange meetings with industry and educational institutions in order to: a. Identify and invite guest speakers b. Create and coordinate special trips to industry locations. 9. Serve on local boards & organizations where appropriate to advance B&G visibility and build new relationships with community industry leaders. 10. Co-ordinate transportation to all classes/events. Requirements A four year college degree. At least 5 years experience in education and/or guidance is preferred. 1. Possess personal and public relations skills to work with people. 2.
