Communications Specialist

GRAPHIC ARTIST – WEB/PRINT

Nonprofit medical organization located in Ellicott City/Columbia, MD seeks a creative person with graphic design skills in both web and print to join our Communications/Marketing team.

Job Title:  Communications Specialist

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

-         Assist with the design and maintenance of various printed marketing, communication and promotional materials, including brochures, postcards, certificates, CDs

-         Assist with managing and maintaining content and functionality of the six corporate websites

-         Assist with implementation of online communications, i.e. web-based emails, webinars and webcasts, quarterly online newsletters

-         Distribution of press releases and logos

-         Other various in-house web and print projects as needed

-         Proofreading and editing

 Annual salary $37,440.  The IAC offers an attractive benefits package.

 Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

-         Excellent computer skills with proficiencies in Adobe CS (InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, in a Windows environment

-         Bachelor’s Degree in related field, plus 3-5 years professional graphics experience

-         Writing and editing skills a must

-         Strong knowledge of print production specifications

-         Attention to detail

-         Graphic layout skills combined with the ability to communicate the right message to a specific audience
