Description

MS stops people from moving.  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society exists to make sure it doesn't.  Through our 50 state network of chapters we help each person address the challenges of living with MS.  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society founded in 1946, funds more MS research, provide more services to people with MS, offer more professional education and further more advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.  The Society is dedicated to achieving a world free of MS.  We are people who want to do something about MS now.

 

We are seeking an Individual Giving Training and Support Specialist to be based out of our Denver, CO location.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Project Management:  Donor Care – Home Office

Project management for key donor care, cultivation and fulfillment of donor recognition responsibilities for individual giving team including:

  • Conduct donor research as needed in partnership with colleagues on individual giving team
  • Coordinate mailings and communications to donors and chapters
  • Donor recognition - order and ship donor recognition gifts
  • Conduct donor research as assigned

Coordinate and execute plans and logistics for donor fundraising, cultivation, and

recognition events driven by the home office individual giving team including:

  • Regional receptions
  • President’s Council calls
  • Research meetings
  • Researcher calls

 

Project Management:  Region / Chapter Staff Training and Outreach

Coordinate the development of individual giving marketing material for National MS Society.  Develop and manage a process for fulfillment of individual giving marketing materials for chapter staff and donors.  Coordinate and execute logistics for individual giving training and chapter support activities including:

  • Field staff networking / user support calls
  • Individual Giving overview for new chapter presidents
  • National meetings (Caucus, Major Giving Meeting, National Conference, etc)
  • New individual giving field staff on-boarding activities
  • IT training and professional development for Individual Giving Team and field staff as appropriate

 

Project Management:  Individual Giving Reporting and Analysis

  • Manage cross-departmental projects with IT and Individual Giving teams to develop data reports required to enhance individual giving work Society-wide
  • Develop and execute process for consistent delivery and management of reports
  • Collaborate with individual giving team to identify trends or important information
  • Develop and deliver key individual giving information nation-wide

 

Customer Service:  Interaction with Constituents

  • Respond to inquiries and facilitate collaboration with Society staff with respect to individual giving program activities.
  • Manage front-line donor inquiries as requested.
Requirements

Qualification / Experience:

 

Successful candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) and minimum of three years related experience in non-profit fundraising / development programs as well as experience working with customer databases.

 

Experience with project management – developing new programs / customer service delivery, and software introduction, training and roll-out.  Experience in developing a process to deliver program training and support materials to internal customers / staff.

 

Demonstrated ability to execute high quality internal and external customer service / customer relationship management, business communication and writing skills.  Highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to work independently, ability to prioritize duties, strong ability to multi-task, develop and manage project timelines.

 

Ability to review and analyze a variety of data reports with the goal of enhancing a fundraising program.  Proficient on PC and constituent relationship management database.  Strong keyboard skills, extensive knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets (MS Office preferred).
