Sr Manager, Project/Task

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Direct on-site responsibility for construction activities for a given number of sites. Coordinates construction scheduling and communication and acts as a liaison to project management concerning bids, subcontracting, progress and delays. May be responsible for estimates, schedules, materials, and purchase orders. Leads and directs the work of others. Budget responsibility of less than $10 million.
Required Education:
May require a bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of management level experience in the telecommunication and/or construction field.
Required Work Experience:
Requires technical knowledge to assist staff and contractors. Working knowledge of a variety of the field construction concepts, practices, and procedures. Has knowledge of safety guidelines and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to an Project Manager. Requires 8-10 years experience.
Other Desirable Requirements:
If the activities/responsibilities of this position require the incumbent to use a personal, rented, leased, or a company owned vehicle to drive on behalf of WS, the candidate's driving record will be reviewed and will be used in assessing suitability for placement. Such activities/responsibilities include: Driving to, from, and/or between work sites or WS business locations; driving to/from customer/vendor meetings; driving to transport or retrieve documents to/from customer/vendors or any place of business; or, driving in conducting office errands where running errands is a part of the customary activities/responsibilities of the position.
