Position Title: Senior Cost Accountant
Reports To: Controller
Assignment Area: Finance

BASIC FUNCTION:
Control productive inventories and assure accuracy of product cost.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Manage workflow process and costing of new parts on the orderboard
* Track bill of material changes
* Prepare monthly Journal Vouchers
* Analyze material variance for performance and economics versus forecast and AOP
* Assist in the development of the forecast / AOP for MPV and perform TMC tie-out
* Reconcile IPV / PPV reports to the G/L
* Record and account for all RMA'S / DMN's
* Monthly perpetual inventory analysis and reconciliation to G/L
* Establish standard costs for material, freight and material burden
* Aid in development of labor and burden standard costs
* Record variances from standard costs
* Record cost of goods sold and reclass between the elements each month
* Record scrap charges, and other usage charges
* Bill interplants for sales and returns
* Assure proper sales pricing
* Various other month-end and ad-hoc duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Distribute cost information to other people when needed
* Work as a team player
* Maintain an inventory with minimal shrink
* Maintain good and accurate records
* Will be required to use advanced PC skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work area is normally heat/air conditioned in an office type environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Must have experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ experience in cost accounting
Oracle System or similar fully integrated system experience preferred
