Description Our client, a worldwide supplier of critical supplies to various industries, has an immediate need for a Product Supply Chain Manager for their Oil & Gas business unit which is based in Houston. This is a newly created position which will be responsible for managing the Product Supply Chain for one of the divisions products which is critical to the oil and gas drilling industry, from synthesis production through to finished product stock. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Determining Product Demand & Inventory Levels by monitoring and interpreting product demand information from multiple sources including input from sales and directly from customers
  • Setting the optimum planning bases and product replenishment policies
  • Driving the strategic determination of inventory levels and production requirements
  • Responsibility for setting and reviewing appropriate inventory levels at all relevant points of the Supply Chain, including stocks at distribution offices
  • Providing product pipeline visibility over multiple time horizons
  • Managing the preparation and implementation of integrated production schedules for processing facilities.
  • Preparing detailed annual and long term plans and providing medium and long-term resource requirements, both production and material, for strategic decision making.
Requirements include:
  • A 4 year degree in an appropriate business field. An MBA or other advanced business related degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 or more years planning and/or supply chain experience, as appropriate, in a multi product / high volume / low cost / multi national manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of structures of corporate governance, business units and products is advantageous. An ability to work constructively with staff at all levels, across organizational/cultural boundaries in a matrix organization, is required along with strong interpersonal, leadership, business, analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving and project management skills
  • The ability to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally
