Description

Our Client is currently seeking the following Operating Room Nursing Leadership positions for immediate hire  

 

Director: Provides administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities of the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments.  Manages the overall nursing operations of the intraoperative Operating Room, service lines, and in accordance with Hospital administered policies, standards of nursing practices, and governmental regulations, providing excellent care for all perioperative patients.  Implements standards and administers clinical practice, evaluates clinical outcomes, and maintains patients’ clinical records

  

Nurse Manager: Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all service line activities involved in the effective, efficient, and economical utilization of material resources and personnel of the delegated service line, ensuring patient service is continuous and high quality.  Responsible for orientation, training, development, and management of service line personnel.  Works collaboratively with coordinators, Physicians, surgical service leadership and staff, Materials Management, and other ancillary departments.  Supervises staff of delegated service lines.

 

Clinical Coordinator: Works with Nurse Managers, Administrative Manager, Scheduling Supervisor, Physicians, Anesthesiology staff, and other ancillary departments and staff to plan, organize, direct, and control the daily activities involved in the effective and efficient management of the OR schedule while providing continuous and high quality service for the perioperative patient.  Responsible for Control Desk goals, objectives, policies and procedures, staffing, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement insuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • Education – BSN required / Master’s preferred
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • 3 – 7 years (depending on level of position) OR experience with progressive OR management experience
  • Knowledge of JCAHO guidelines and state and federal regulations and standards
  • Problem solving skills
  • Budgetary experience
  • Employee relations experience – including hiring / motivating / mentoring / evaluating
  • BLS/CPR
  • ACLS
