Health Information Management Director

Are you an HIM Management Director who is looking for his or her next opportunity?   This Healthcare Information Company is looking for a new HIMD. 

The HIM professional in this position will be responsible for designing and managing the IT operations for this HIM company as well as managing the IT Engineering Teams.  Some of the other responsibilities will also include driving IT systems architecture decisions.  So, can you design, deliver, and manage critical HIM systems as well as manage HIM IT people effectively?  If you can this may be your next opportunity.

The HIMD will also grow the infrastructure team and define best standards, procedures, and SLA’s to meet the company’s needs.  This Healthcare Information Company provides 24X7 services, so the HIMD will be responsible for managing reporting on systems availability and systems delivery. The HIMD will be the key liaison between IT infrastructure and business applications.

We are looking for someone with a track record of improving data center operations in a high growth/dynamic, Health Information Data environment. 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Expand the HIM Infrastructure and maintain DCAA compliance.  Implement business continuity plans for ERP, HR, and other critical systems.

Develop strategies that meet the needs for innovation, quality, and cost.   Manage a team of 10+ reports that provide IT support. Provide vendor management and interface with management to ensure communication between all stake-holders within all major projects.

Develop and deliver a training program that ensures staff are properly trained and prepared to support the company’s business delivery.  Work collaboratively with various functional units to improve service quality and deliver process improvements.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
RHIA Certification
8 years experience in managing an IT support team with a strong focus on critical data delivery
BS in HRA, HIM, or related field

Strong background in HER or EMR

Possess an Alaska Driver’s License

Good driving record

Track record of keeping HIM program in compliance
Unix/Windows experience, preferably with Aix/Unix management in a production environment
