Job Description

If you’re a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced Criminal Justice professional, preferably also with teaching experience, who believes in the power of sharing your knowledge, motivating others, and putting students first, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for a talented manager to join the team at our Houston Campus on a full-time basis. The right candidate must be able to teach Forensic Science, Law Enforcement Operations and other criminal justice related courses. Reporting to the Director of Education, this individual will:

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

·          Act as a support person for the Director of Education.

·          Teaches and advises students.

·          Schedules classes.

·          Submits orders for education materials.

·          Maintains and repairs equipment.

·          Supervises faculty and teaching assistants.

·          Student tracking.

·          Participates in Orientation.

·          Chairperson for curriculum development their department.

·          Participates in Graduation.

·          Attends the Program Advisory Meeting in their department.

·          Assists in the recruitment, orientation, and training of faculty.

·          Attrition control for their department.

·          Stays abreast of technological changes in their field.

·          Participate in graduation ceremonies.

*   Perform other duties/participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Skills Needed:

·          Superior language ability/interpersonal communication skills

·          Solid logic/reasoning ability

·          Solid organizational skills

·          Good word processing/spreadsheet/Internet skills

 

Education/Experience Needed:

·          At least four (4) years of practical work experience in Criminal Justice (police, courts, corrections).

·          JD or Master degree in Criminal Justice or related field

*    Previous teaching experience highly desired.
