• Performs warm-up procedures each day prior to beginning scanning.
• Performs quality control testing on the CT scanner daily.
• Prepares CT room for patients.
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies, (i.e.; contrast media, linen, basins, etc.).
• Interprets physician order for proper procedure; discusses as necessary with Radiologist.
• Performs CT imaging procedures, assuring protocols are followed as established by Radiologists.
• Administers I.V. contrast media for imaging procedures, after first reviewing lab work for appropriate levels.
• Able to use pressure injector efficiently and accurately as per indication by Radiologist.
• Processes computerized images, assuring appropriate density and utilizing windows as specified by protocols.
• Acquires thorough history from patient, documenting same on voucher and CT history form.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Assumes on-call responsibilities, as scheduled by supervisor.
• Maintains appropriate skills to assess and care for patients of all ages,

• Participates in departmental meetings, inservice education, and quality assurance activities.
• Enters patient information as necessary for proper billing of procedure.
• Completes necessary paperwork, file folder, etc., for dictation.
• Applies appropriate labels to films (i.e.; sequence numbers, visit number, etc.).
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor as soon as possible; or notifies service engineer in absence of supervisor.
• Participates in review and revisions of policies and protocols related to CT scanning.
• Makes copies of CT scans when requested.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists must be current, as well as licensure by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.
• This position REQUIRES applicant to be CT Boarded
• Two years experience as Radiologic Technologist required.
• Six months experience in Computed Tomography
