Job Description:
Leads, coordinates, and/or assists the activities of an assigned group of exercise and operations controllers and data collectors in support of assigned exercises and experiments for GHMD UAS. Provides subject matter expertise to the exercise and experimentation team and the Fleet participants. - Interface with customers in an assigned area to determine specific exercise/experiment objectives and requirements.- Derive and develop objectives, scenario, schedule, dissemination architecture, ensure proper manning, and write after action reports on the exercise/experiment to be forwarded up the test and evaluation chain, to the PMA, and beyond. - Work with the fleet on ground-floor development of new experimental techniques to get the right data to the right node at the right time.- Work with the contractor, and government to ensure all scheduling, airspace, etc. is coordinated and all participants understand their roles and responsibilities.Operations Support / Air Space Integration:- Assist in airspace integration activities for GHMD in particular, and participate in support of the PMA for all UAS integration.- Coordinate with FAA and ATC and other government agencies all specifics for GHMD air space access, to include coordinating the development of all documentation for Certificate of Authorization (COA), Letter of Agreement (LOA) documentation, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with divert fields, detailing roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders. - Work to aid in the development of standards, practices, and technologies which will allow UAS 'file and fly' capability to operate within the US NAS, and international FIR airspace.Operations Scheduling: - Assist in the development of the detailed GHMD operations schedule, taking into account long term requirements, maintenance, and manning requirements, balancing all to achieve the most efficient schedule.- Assist in development of training syllabi for operations and maintenance personnel.- Assist with liaison with the fleet, ATC, and other external customers the flight schedule to meet all needs.CONOPS/TTP Development:- Assist in developing tactics, operational concepts, scenario development, and procedures for bringing long dwell maritime patrol UAS capabilities to bear in the current maritime environment and missions expected of this type of system. - Participate as crew member (Mission Commander, Tactical coordinator) role in GHMD during events. Parlay lessons learned from experience into tactics, and CONOPS development into subsequent acquisition programs, to include BAMS and UCAS, etc. - Aid in translating operational requirements from customer (fleet) participation in experimentation events, into specifications for contractor development of weapon system solutions.Test Support: - Participate as Test/experimentation Conductor, responsible for overall real-time achievement of set test/experimentation objectives.'hjlsi06”
 


Job Requirements 

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field and Seven to Ten years of job-related experience.Experience in the development and conducting of multi-faceted UAS experimentation and exercises; UAV Operations / Operator experience (Global Hawk, Predator, Shadow, Scan Eagle, etc.) is strongly desired.Demonstrated capability to interface with customers and provide direction to technically qualified personnel is preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational and analytical skills are required. Good oral and written communications skills; working knowledge of work-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require travel. Work Experience Field:Operations Support, Air Space Integration, Operations Scheduling and Test and Experimentation Support. Special Skills: UAV Operator / pilot experience.Personal computer experience including: MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, etc.)Current DoD clearance or ability to obtain a clearance is required.
