Pilot Chemical Company has recently relocated its headquarters to Sharonville, Ohio and is searching for an Associate Corporate Process Engineer to join the Operations Team. 

 

Key responsibilities of this position include:

·         Assist in supporting process operations, including improving product quality, troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking, and energy utilization.

·         Perform energy and mass balance calculations; hydraulic calculations, and basic economic analysis.

·         Develop PFD’s, P&ID’s, and isometric drawings. 

·         Develop and maintain work instructions for processes.

·         Develop and manage implementation of small capital projects.

·         Conduct reviews of process operations to identify opportunities.

·         Support plant health, safety, and environmental systems.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

·         Degree in Chemical Engineering, B.S. minimum.

·         0 to 2 years experience working as a Chemical Engineer.

·         Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills to achieve process improvements.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·         Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.

·         Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

·         Physical ability to reach all work areas in the plant (i.e., climb ladders, negotiate catwalks, handle heights to 50 feet, etc.), to lift, twist, and turn up to 50 lbs. (i.e., open and close large valves, inspect equipment, don emergency equipment, etc.).

·         Due to safety sensitive nature of job, must pass regular & routine chemical dependency testing.

·         Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.

 

Preferred competencies also include:

·         Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT).

·         Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
