Established in 1941, Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is the pre-eminent organization providing economic education programs to primary and secondary level students. JA builds stronger communities through programs that teach work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Programs are offered grades kindergarten through 12 and are facilitated by trained adult volunteers. Position Summary:
To manage operations and coordinate all corporate and education constituents to provide economic education programs (grades K-12) in Racine and Kenosha counties. Ultimately responsible for fund raising, strategic planning, and volunteer recruitment and training to meet the demand for programs. Ensures program quality and growth, creates awareness, and builds and supports both county Boards.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Financial Management /Development: Ensures district revenue and expenses meet with targeted budget level. Oversees annual campaign and fund raising. Implements and manages special events as needed. Manages district operations budget.
- Program Growth/Quality: Develops and maintains relationships with school district leadership and teachers, matching JA resource to meet educational needs. Assures placement of trained volunteers from the community to meet program requests. Builds and maintains customer relations and volunteer satisfaction with program. Administers required program evaluation tools. Implements quality improvement based on customer feedback and direction from state or worldwide Headquarters. Ensures continued program growth in designated geographic market.
- Strategic Planning: Utilizes District Boards and Staff to create and implement a strategic plan defining the direction of the district organization to meet the objectives of the state organization. Provides key information, coordinates meetings, monitors and supports board committees and staff efforts to meet plan objectives.
- Board Development: Interacts with district board of directors to meet program/funding goals. Ensures appropriate board size and level through board development committee and/or board chair. Provides assistance in identifying leadership for appropriate board positions.
- Awareness: Promotes awareness of Junior Achievement in district area. Develops media contacts. Secures articles in newspapers, magazines, and company newsletters. Conducts presentations to business and community organizations when needed. Assures brand compliance.
- Staff Development: Directs and develops staff assigned to the district area. Conducts annual performance reviews. Assures all associates complete required training, and provides opportunities for employee development through additional local, state and national offerings. Maintains current personnel files and provides current information to the state organization on status of new and terminated employees, salary and compensation, and insurance enrollment. Provides timely advice regarding adherence to established JA policies.
