Senior Accountant

Responsible for the record keeping and maintenance of the parent and subsidiary general ledgers. Ensures that all accounts are scheduled and reconciled.  Prepares financial Statements and various reports and analysis. Leads and directs the work or the parent and subsidiary accounting personnel to ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounting functions. Provides support to outside auditors and reporting authorities as required. Prepares special reports and analysis.

Accountabilities

• Provides financial statements, reports, analysis, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations in compliance with US GAAP.

• Prepare standard weekly and monthly reports (flash, bookings deck, management meeting report, income statement, balance sheet, etc.)

• Performs analysis and explanation of variances and significant items on the financial reports generated.

• Assists in coordinating the compliance of all parent and subsidiary personnel with financial procedures and policies.

• Creates and/or updates General Ledger, Cash Reports and various financial reports.

• Works cooperatively with accounting personnel to produce financial information.

• Prepares and processes journal entries.

• Maintains the company’s General Ledger, Subsidiary Ledgers, GL Account Schedules, and various monthly reports.

• Assists Cost Accounting with the reconciliation of inventory and special cost/inventory projects as necessary.

• Prepares debt covenant and borrowing base calculations and reports.

• Identifies and implements improvements and efficiencies in accounting procedures.

• Coordinates European payment approvals and processing.

• Any census reporting, special analytical reports/projects, and general accounting support as necessary.

• Uses Avante software, Excel Word, Outlook Express, and Company’s current banking resources, eg., on-line banking, Internet, and bank website.

Education/Experience/Skills:

                     BA Degree in Accounting or Business with Accounting Background.

                     Minimum 2-4  years experience working in a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst role
