This VP Level position oversees the corporate-wide QA/QC function for all BSE subsidiaries and reports to the COO, as well as the CEO and Board of Directors prior to start of constructions on a project and no less than annually report findings with regard to Corporate QA/QC Programs.

The combined experience of our technical and commercial team in developing, building, financing, and operating large scale solar power plants has established the Company as the proven leader in the creation and provision of solar thermal energy.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of QA/QC to drive corporate-wide programs supporting the engineering, design, procurement, and construction of what will ultimately be multiple, utility-scale, solar plant construction projects in the US and overseas. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and verify implementation of consistent and effective Quality Assurance (“QA") program/plans for application corporate-wide, including building an ISO 9000 qualified organization.

The position will be responsible for company policies, audits and related activities.  The position will not be required to developed detailed procedures, but the position will review those developed by others to insure compliance with company policy.

Act as a liaison to Senior Management for specific project QA activities.

Advise Senior Management of QA problems and progress.

Oversee project or product-specific QA/QC activities during audits conducted by client, management, or certification agencies.

Ensure that project-specific QA/QC effectively coordinates and teams with project members in engineering, procurement, and construction, admin services, test, operations, and other client and staff QA project personnel.

Position Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an engineering, scientific or business discipline and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of practical work experience in fields of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, training, startup, testing, operations or no degree and twenty (20) years experience, including management, in training, QA construction or previous applicable energy-related work.

Deep knowledge of the QA principles and their application to engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, or operations.  ISO 9000 experience a plus.

Deep knowledge of Supplier Qualification processes (auditing, qualification of suppliers, use of Approved Suppliers List).

Deep knowledge of the application of corrective actions to nonconforming
conditions.

Expertise in certification requirements and functions which impact the QA program/plan.

Proficiency in the use of a PC computer and Microsoft software.

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with Senior Management.
