Description of responsibilities:

The individual should be at a senior level of skill competency with a good understanding and several years' experience in the area of layer 3 networking, Cisco switching and router and ASA configuration, IBM xServers, DNS, Active Directory, Motorola wireless access points, MPLS Wan communications.

This person will be responsible to install servers into the server rack, set up and install all servers exactly according to configurations provided by the network architect. All equipment and network infrastructure also to be installed and implemented according to network architect's instructions.

This individual will be required to setup the server room server rack, network equipment, ISP demarcation, fire suppression system, UPS according to the direction as provided by the network architect.

This individual will interphase directly with XYZ, Co. of Canada's network architect on a daily basis and take direction on installation and implementation of both the network and infrastructure at the Buffalo facility, from him. The person will be answerable to the MIS manager.

On occasion, the individual will be required to lift boxes (network equipment, servers, ups...etc) up to 75 lbs safely and with appropriate assistance when needed. Proper safety equipment should be worn while on site, which includes hard hat, safety goggles, steel toes boots, safety vest/jacket. The individual will receive the proper safety indoctrination when first arriving on site for the first time from the site safety officer.
