The Senior Quality Engineer this company is seeking will have experience with performance testing, .NET development, and Visual Studio.

Senior Quality Engineer Responsibilities

• Work with multiple departments to establish a dedicated performance test environment
• Establish performance testing objectives, criteria, standards, and baselines
• Own the performance test suite and drive consistency in tools and methodology across the organization
• Continuously evaluate performance test tools for improvements in productivity, cost, efficiency
• Install and configure the components necessary for performance testing. This would typically involve test managers, controllers, and load agents with virtual users
• Develop modular and robust automated performance test scripts utilizing reusable functions, keyword-driven actions, exception handling, and other advanced automation techniques
• Develop scaleable, maintainable testing frameworks/harnesses that simplify the ongoing development and maintenance of performance test scripts and code
• Develop adhoc testing tools, scripts, applications as needed to test functions not readily accessible to packaged solutions
• Own and drive scheduled and adhoc performance tests across applications on various delivery schedules to measure performance
• Work closely with Agile Scrum teams and other groups to execute and analyze load test results to assess product performance, identify bottlenecks, and suggest solutions to improve application performance
• Regularly document and report on ongoing progress and prepare metrics and materials for presentation to teams and management
• Find ways to measure performance of both front-end (Client/UI) performance as well as key application back-end processes not exposed to the users

Senior Quality Engineer Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or previous software testing experience
• 6+ years’ experience in software quality assurance, manual testing, and/or test automation with a focus on .NET/Windows and Web-based applications
• 2+ year’s hands-on C#/.NET
• 2+ years Visual Studio experience, preferably Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Test Professional OR
• 2+ years of experience using LoadRunner with Web (HTML) and/or .NET Vuser protocols
• 2+ years’ experience with an automated functional test tool such as HP Quick Test Pro, developing data-driven and keyword-driven functions, frameworks, and test scripts
• 2+ years’ experience with relational databases and reading/writing SQL
• Working knowledge and experience in all phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, and test execution
• Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies a plus
