  • General Purpose of Job: Optimize EMR operations in Sparrow Medical Group. Liaison between SMG and Health System for EMR issues.



    Essential Duties:



    • Assess, recommend and promote approaches for applying project management methodologies and technologies to multiple SMG EMR projects



    • Coordinates iSparrow optimization projects across SMG



    • Supports providers and caregivers in EMR implementations and use



    • Establishes an enviornment that promotes teamwork within and across SMG units



    • Liaison between SMG Administration, SMG Providers, SMG Caregivers and Sparrow EMR team



    • Provides coordination and leadership in the execution of day to day SMG EMR project activities



    • Collaborate with EMR team, both ambulatory and inpatient, to enhance the iSparrow program



    • Communicate with providers, caregivers, SMG quality department and SMG administration on a regular basis on EMR optimization issues



    • Collaborates with the SMG IT Committee and SMG Quality department to optimize iSparrow



    • Gathers data and research for inclusion in projects, speeches and papers



    • Delivers iSparrow optimization program presentations for SMG (i.e., SMG Board, SMG Operations and Finance Cmte, SMG Supervisor Team, etc.)



    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:


    Education:



    • Graduated from a Registered Nurse program



    • BSN preferred



    License/Certification:



    • Current Registerd Nurse license to practice in the State of Michigan



    Experience:



    • Proven skills in project management



    • 1 year working with an EMR



    • 2 years of clinical experience



    • Experience in IT preferred



    • Experience in a Physician Clinic setting preferred
