Job Summary: Responsible for installing, configuring, documenting, troubleshooting, maintaining and coordinating the configuration of Online Gaming platform hardware and software environments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Acts as a liaison between development, product assurance, test labs, and other third party groups in gathering requirements for platform configuration and then building and maintaining a test suite to match
- Acts as coordinator of departmental software build processes which involves installing and troubleshooting regular builds, preparing and publishing detailed release notes and technical software manuals, and creation and maintenance of automation scripts
- Responsible for installation and configuration of Online Gaming internal test, demo, and production environments
- Accountable for the coordination and automation of software build process, including scheduling, coordination of source code availability, communication, and documentation
- Responsible for troubleshooting and solution coordination regarding build-related and environment-related software issues
- Coordinates official build environment configuration with product assurance, external test labs, and third party integration partners
- Accountable for preparation, coordination, maintenance, and publication of official software release notes and technical manuals, including installation instructions, technical environment configuration
- Responsible for furthering the automation of processes through the creation of automation tools and scripts
- Prepares software environments for targeted product demos
- Actively participates in Change Control Board processes and procedures
- Creates and maintains departmental technical knowledge base
- Trains peers regarding platform build, installation, and configuration issues
- Efficiently and effectively communicates software deployment plans and schedules
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required
Qualifications: Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or proven equivalent work experience required
Experience:
- 4 years installing and configuring complex client-server based software packages required
- Experience installing and configuring Windows-based server operating systems and databases required -- 2008 or later preferred
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting networked software applications preferred
- Experience writing scripts in a standard scripting language preferred (Python, Perl, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Microsoft Certified Professional status preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in written form
