The Sr. IT Business Consultant will be an experienced individual with the capability to handle a diverse set of tasks targeted to utilize prior experience in telecommunications, OSS/BSS applications and back office systems. This position offers the individual the unique role of being a liaison between the core business and IT. This person will be providing subject matter expertise, analysis and act as a consultant for both the business and IT personnel to lean on for day to day operations and special projects like conversions of acquired properties.

Responsibilities:
•Provide subject matter expertise related to telecommunications within the ordering, provisioning and billing areas
•Provide subject matter expertise related to the Metasolv Solution Software (M6/MSS/ASAP/TBS) with all modules utilized by Windstream, primarily, the Ordering (ASRs, PSRs, ISRs, EWOs, USOs), Inventory Management, Work Management, Infrastructure (including the set up/maintenance of the Product Catalog) and Technology modules
•Provide subject matter expertise in the use of Business Objects and MSS related universes to create adhoc reports
•Provide day to day application support for MSS users to resolve incidents or answer questions related to the application
•Provide business knowledge support to assist MSS Support team in resolving incidents or to resolve application related issues
•Act as a liaison between the business and IT and ensure business continuity as well as productivity by assisting where necessary
•Support the application team in testing new functionality, enhancement requests as well as incident fixes as part of the support role
•Evaluate enhancements, technology modules and application roadmap from the vendor to recommend for adoption by the business as the need dictates
•Manage and track RIS requests from the business for upstream reporting
•Distribute alerts/bulletins/notifications related to system outages and project schedules
•Provide data analysis and business process review of source systems during mergers and acquisitions
•Work with developers/business leaders to direct the transformation of source data to target systems during mergers
•Assist with all phases of conversions and provide the necessary support tailored to each phase
•Participate and consult on post conversion issues or problems
•Drive projects to completion utilizing best of breed practices while adhering to Windstream IT procedures
•Develop and maintain documentation as necessary to support the business and IT with associated projects and/or application use as well as telecom domain knowledge transfer

Preferred Education and Experience:
•College degree in a Technical or related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9+ years professional level related Technical experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required
•10 years of working experience utilizing Metasolv Solution Software (experience with older versions will also be counted) as a user
•3-5 years of working experience configuring MSS
•12 or more years of telecommunication experience
•2 or more years of working knowledge of Business Objects
•2 or more years of familiarity with next-gen technology modules within MSS
•Fluency in the use of Microsoft Office products for data analysis, documentation and presentations
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
•Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
•Ability to take ownership of projects and leadership role where required
•Ability to facilitate meetings and discussions and drive objectives
•Ability to research, document and present to IT and business personnel at all levels

 Requirements
