Electrical Designer with SPI/Intergraph - Long Beach, CA
Our client is currently seeking a high caliber Electrical Designer with Petrochemical, Oil/Gas or Chemical experience.
  • 5 years experience with the design and layout of instrument, electrical for heavy industrial, oil and gas, refining, pipeline facilities
  • Will use Smart Plant Instrumentation on projects that utilize the process, hook up, loop and telecom and DPP modules of SPI
  • Apply field experience in related field environment and familiarity with the use and care of personal safety equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and assist with the development of electrical construction packages
  • Demonstrate the ability to interface with the client shop personnel, inspection staff, and construction contractors
  • Understand and apply all client and safety policies
  • Apply knowledge of drawing filing systems with experience in performing drawing searches
    •  Requirements.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have SPI / Intergraph knowledge and working experience, not just familiarity.
  • Experience with control systems, PLC Wiring Diagrams, AutoCAD, Single Line Diagrams, P&ID's, switchgear, motor schematics, panel schedules and wiring connections.
  • Knowledge of NEC Codes
  • SPI experience - Intergraph SP P&IDGeneration of detailed control panel wiring and layout drawings and modification of existing conduit routing drawings and details.
  • Experience working on P&ID's in a heavy industrial (oil/gas, petrochemical, chemical plant) environment.
  • Familiarity with Motor Control Centers, breakers, starters, lighting panels, and transformers
  • United States Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship
  • Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check
