 Description

Entry level full time, part time and per diem support specialist positions working directly with active adults with Developmental Disabilities (DD) living in group home settings in the Rochester area. Seeking self-motivated persons able to work all available shifts including days, evenings, overnights and weekends. Build a new career - paid training including successful completion of a medication certification program is required for all full and part time positions is provided. Previous DD experience preferred.  Excellent benefits including paid time off and free or low cost health care options for full time positions.  RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED, some college preferred.
Fingerprints and background check completed prior to hire.
Valid NYS dirver's license, an acceptable driving history and a reliable and properly insured vehicle, as transportation of residents is your own vehicle is sometimes required.
18-21 years of age must provide a 6 hour driving course certificate in addition to NYS Driver's License.
Previous experience with persons with developmental disabilities a plus.
Ability to walk up and down stairs and provide physical interventions or assistance to the residents as necessary.
Ability to communicate and read and write the english language effectively.
