Narrow Web Flexographic Label Assistant

As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for working along side a Production Operator on various pieces of equipment in the production of consumer product labels and other various printed items.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to assist with machines safely.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area and department.
  • Ensure proper operating procedures (SOP’s) are followed.
  • Help identify and correct quality concerns.
  • Maintain AIB standards within your work area.
  • Assist with make-ready, set-ups and general maintenance of equipment.
  • Responsible for outgoing finished pallets, accuracy of load flags and production reporting.
  • Clear communication and teamwork.
  • Be able to read and understand job ticket information.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Flow between work areas as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • 2-3 years exposure to a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with flexographic printing is a plus.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business-related periodicals, technical procedures, or related-industry regulations. Ability to communicate effectively in writing. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to work with general mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills

Ability to comprehend the basic workings of computer software such as Microsoft Office and Prism.

  • Participate in CPI processes.
  • Good to Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Basic understanding of electronics.
  • Safety awareness.
  • Normal or correctable visual acuity, color vision and hearing as required by the position.
  • Ability to stand continuously during shift.
  • Must be willing to do projects as assigned.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts.
