 Description Must Work On-Site. This is a 40-hour/week full-time commitment.

Production Artist/Graphic Designer in our creative department.

If you are a talented, hard-working Production Artist/Graphic Designer who meets the criteria outlined below, we would like to meet you!

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
    * Produce, typeset, and prepress for major pharmaceutical marketing materials
    * Adhere to Brand Guidelines when applicable and ensure brand standards are met on materials produced
    * Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
    * Assist creative director and marketing sales team with the development of proposals and estimates
    * Work on multiple projects efficiently, using a detail-oriented approach to organize workflow in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
    * Assist with the management of the office
    * Speak to clients and associates over the phone and in person
    * Must be comfortable using Macs. Experience with OSX Lion a plus


This position is a mix of 40 to 50 percent production art (creative support), 20 to 30 percent graphic design, and 20 to 30 percent office assistance, including proposals and estimates (training for proposals and estimates will be provided).

 RequirementsEDUCATION:

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience in related field required

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred


EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years with agency or in-house firm in graphic design and/or production

• Portfolio should display a proven knowledge of print production and mechanical standards as well as common design principles

• Medical Content Layout is a plus

• Must be a strong proofreader

KNOWLEDGE:

• Proficiency in Creative Suite 4+ on Macintosh platform

• Proficiency in print and digital production with strong typography skills

• High Proficiency in MS Excel

• Ability to take initiative and collaborate

• Ability to deliver high-quality work on schedule

• Strong writing and organizational skills

• Knowledge of Apple iWork suite a plus

• Strong layout skills and an experienced eye for color
