We have an exciting opportunity for an action and goal orientated part time 20 hour/week Sales/Fundraising Division Director for the Wheeling/Belmont County market to work out of a home based office with a requirement to live in the territory. The main objective for the successful candidate will be to cultivate and secure corporate sponsorships and individual donors to meet the aggressive fundraising goals of $50,000+. The enthusiastic part time Division Director is also responsible for recruiting and coaching high profile community leaders and volunteers to serve as event committee members. The successful candidate will be responsible for the live and silent auction the night of the event, and the recruitment and management of the auction committee, and be passionate about the AHA mission. In addition, the Division Director will manage the logistics for their events.

Candidates will be highly organized, detail oriented, fearless, resilient and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Must have the ability to lift at least 20 pounds from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accomodation. Also, the ability to travel 75% in the territory on a daily basis, and 25% overnight travel.

 Requirements
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2007 used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
