Senior Structural Engineers

In this position, you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your background and experience in structural engineering.

You will work on an engineering and design team, engaged in a wide variety of structrual engineering activities for nuclear power plant projects:

• Preparation and review of calculations, document designs, and specifications.

• Structural analyses of steel and conrete structures, foundations, and structural components for static and dynamic loads, including wind, seismic, blast, tornado, and pressurization.

• Structural analysis of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, piping supports, and foundations.

•Independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.

A BS or MS in Civil (Structural) Engineering with a strong academic background in structural steel design, reinforced concrete design and structural analysis.

Familiarity with design codes and standards, including AISC and ACI, is required along with familiarity with computer software commonly used in structural applications, such as SAP2000, ANSYS, SAFE, STAADPro, and/or GTStrudl.

Three or more years of experience in the design of commercial nuclear power plant projects or heavy industrial facilities, with a focus on structural analyis, new facility design, and design for modifications and upgrades to existing facilities.

PE and/or SE license is a plus, but not required.
