The Managing Health and Human Services Consultant will enhance knowledge of health and health care systems. This individual will design and carry out projects that aim to enhance the understanding, quality and delivery of health care services. The manager will also be able to address changes in health care practice, technology, and regulation. As a managing consultant, this role will create strategies for institutions, communities, associations, foundations governments, and the public in order to make health care and human services systems more effective.Skills and Responsibilities include:
• Managing multiple priorities and strict timelines for diverse projects.- Completing and delivering work product(s) in an agreed-upon timeframe within the contracted budget- Managing and developing client relationships as evidenced by positive client feedback and client engagement with repeated business.- Completing all administrative requirements on time including time-entry, expense submission, client billing and others as requested.- Managing a large matrix team and aligning responsibilities.- Developing new business through the contribution of substantive expertise and technical advice.- Recognition for professional achievement and skills in health research and/or consulting or clinical experience.- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct rigorous research studies, especially studies involving large databases or claims data. - Ability to make sound project resource management decisions with limited oversight from supervisor.- Ability to develop, satisfy and retain clients by providing excellent customer service and producing high quality deliverables.- Ability to build, lead and work in a team environment.- Leadership to support business development activities.- Ability to develop and write research papers and present at professional meetings.
Job Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
• 3-5 years minimum clinical experience- Board certified in medical specialty preferred- Research training- Track record of publications or reports- Interest in public health and/or health policy
• Experience or interest in patient safety research, community engagement, or payment policy is a plus
