Responsible for overall coordination of the day-to-day operations of the hospital while on duty. Specific responsibilities include: Performance Improvement; enforcing policies and procedures; staffing/productivity; and nursing care for specific patient populations. Works closely with staff, physicians, and other managers to ensure quality patient care. Guides staff in the implementation of the nursing process and directs the cost effective allocation of resources. Job Requirements Required Job Qualifications include:Current licensure as an RN.Current certification as a BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider.Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.Minimum of 3-5 years related experience.Previous charge nurse experience preferred.Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
