Job Description

We have oppurtunities in several FEA/CAE areas. We are keen to fill several positions right away. Look to Mahindra for oppurtunities in FEA.

Conduct CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) structural analyses of fuel system designs including metallic, thermoplastic and elastomeric components to lead the design and solve problems including:
a) Construct structural analysis models of fuel systems and body/frame attachments from 3D graphic data
b) Predict deflections and strains due to assembly, acceleration, thermal, and fluid pressure loadings
c) Predict frequencies and modeshapes
d) Predict fatigue life using analysis strains and measured strains
e) Validate predictions to hardware test data
f) Develop and verify design improvements to achieve deflection, strain, frequency, and fatigue life requirements
g) Verbally communicate results and design improvements
h) Document results and design improvements using written engineering reports.

a)Brake System fundamental knowledge about these components: Calipers, Rotors, brake pedals. Other components include knuckles. Also, Brake Noise Analysis experience.

b)Very proficient using ABAQUS for structural CAE work - for both explicit and standard analyses.

c)What type of individual excels best in your environment and why? CAE engineers that take smart risks using their results to make design changes before tests (instead of waiting for testing to confirm their answers) ,
d)Engineers that can adapt analysis methods to solve unusual problems.
e)Engineers with excellent oral communication skills..

Responsible for the creation and documentation of modeling plans to engineering team and initiation of new processes and tools. Work involves high amount of creativity and strong oral and written communication skills. Exercises high amount of independent judgment with little guidance from supervisor.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
-Lead the creation of full vehicle Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for safety/crash structures, noise and vibration, Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning (HVAC), exterior aerodynamics, and internal thermal
-Present developed math plan and give input related to math plan to performance integration teams, vehicle and program reviews
-Coordinate cross-functionally for input related to plan development
-Develop filtered parts list for global customers
-Work to develop details of plan with customer depending on their discipline
-Assess and document modeling processes
-Develop standard modeling procedures to enhance model build quality and timing
-Assist others with the development of modeling strategies and any additional enhancements to the software
-Coordinate and initiate enhancements to the modeling process and development of Tools

Job Requirements

-Knowledge of HYPERMESH, SOFY, ANSA, DYNA, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, and Unigraphics (UG) or other 3D CAD-Intermediate level
-Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint-Intermediate level
-Knowledge of Lotus Notes or other email communication tool-Intermediate level
-Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software-Intermediate level
-Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact cross-culturally and cross functionally
-Strong teamwork skills necessary for cooperation and collaboration with coworkers
-Strong oral and written communication skills needed for presentation, reports and garnering resources for project
-Strong leadership skills needed to mentor and supervise
