Air Quality Project Manager

Job Description

The Raleigh, NC (Morrisville) office is seeking a dynamic and experienced engineer to manage air quality-related environmental compliance projects for federal and industrial clients.

This position is for a Project Manager for the Morrisville Air Quality Team and requires completing projects on time and accurately. The Project Manager will work for a variety of industries, support existing clients, and develop proposals/pursue marketing efforts independently.

Primary responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:
Responsibilities of this position will include managing and executing projects involving air quality-related environmental compliance services including performing studies and analyses, regulatory research, auditing, creating spreadsheets, and compiling and writing reports and other documents. The candidate will successfully manage projects for industrial and federal clients meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives. As a senior leader, the candidate will effectively lead project teams by coordinating and communicating with project team members, other project managers, and other URS offices and will support the professional development and growth of junior level staff. Compliance projects related to other environmental media and air dispersion modeling projects may also be supported, as the candidate's qualifications allow.

Other requirements and responsibilities include:

•Negotiating permit conditions with regulatory agencies
•Evaluate the effectiveness of control technologies in achieving emission reductions and the cost of controls

Job Requirements

•Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering
•Minimum 9 years of air quality project experience
•Experience with Clean Air Act compliance (federal as well as state and local regulations), the preparation of air emissions inventories, preparation of new source and Title V permit applications, air quality regulations and interpretation, air emissions control technologies, and the ability to conduct air compliance audits
•Experience with air permitting, both NSR and Title V
•Experience developing proposals, working in project teams, and managing budgets
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Strong written and oral communication, quantitative, and interpersonal skills
•Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
•Project management experience
•Independent thinker with a strategic mindset, while being detail oriented and able to work as part of a team
•Proactive on projects and demonstrate initiative.
•Proficient use of PC- based applications ( MS Word, Excel, Access) and good typing skills are required, as well as a motivated, hard-working team player with attention to detail
•Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
•Valid driver's license required
