CCCi is seeking a Business Analyst for a full-time position in Winston-Salem, NC. The Client is the world's leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and solutions, and the world's leading distributor of aerospace fasteners and consumables for the commercial, business jet, and military markets.
The Business Analyst will manage and support applications, provide implementation and support for Distribution and Manufacturing modules in JD Edwards 9.1 release (experience with JD Edwards 7.3 is a plus) and provide metrics and reporting for applications supported. As application owner, this person will own, facilitate, and cause the successful delivery of solutions, assessing and communicating issues of technological impact on business, and measuring and reporting the level of service being delivered. This individual will have an in-depth knowledge of subject matter surrounding current and evolving application solutions, industry standards, best practices, root cause analysis, opportunities, and training. Individuals in this job will work with cross-functional project teams consisting of technical and business unit team members and should have professional level service skills including an ability to communicate, negotiate, and implement processes for the applications which they will manage. They are also individuals who possess good coaching and mentoring skills.
Business Analyst Essential Job Functions
-Provide for proactive management and oversight for applications and their support. This includes monitoring of service and performance metrics, incident and root cause analysis. Service and incident communication facilitation, troubleshooting problem areas in collaboration with the service provider, status and value proposition reporting.
-Ensure quality delivered by vendors meets contractual expectations.
-Provide solutions to lower the cost of application support.
-Manage and support activities and processes related to enabling business driven, measurable, value aligned solutions, improvements or changes to the applications.
-Manage all aspects of application support; analysis, maintenance, enhancement for mission-critical application systems, and training through the teams they manage.
-Ensure communications and processes with business unit customers are consistent across the entire team and are aligned with IT direction.
-Participate in architecture evolution and standards definition.
-Foster and maintain good relationships with customers (manufacturing users) and IT colleagues.
-Travel to various sites in the US and Western Europe as needed.
Minimum Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
-At least 5-8 years of experience in providing application development, support, or business system solution/product/service strategies and directions with large, distributed, complex systems.
-At least 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in understanding and integrating existing systems and technology, designing application architectures, and leveraging emerging technologies utilizing industry standards and best practices with an emphasis on manufacturing.
-Experience in implementation and support for Distribution and Manufacturing modules in JD Edwards 9.1 release and the same JD Edwards 7.3 modules from customer PO Receipts to end item shipments. --Hands on knowledge of MRP set-up, execution, and support required in a manufacturing company.
-Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management and the ability to motivate teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic and complex problems.
-Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and drivers with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence through service provision.
-Expertise in understanding, setting and managing customer expectations.
-Skill in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative application solutions.
-Skilled at escalating issues and negotiating vendor deliverables.
-Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective.
-Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
-Strong organizational skills including the ability to set shifting priorities and meet deadlines/adaptability/flexibility.
Preferred:
-A background in software development is highly desired.
-An understanding of manufacturing processes is also desired.
