Position Summary: Establish a strategic plan for the fixed capital equipment category and manage work efforts across multiple sub-categories, including internal partner alignment and satisfaction, supplier relationship management, contract management, risk management, program management, and category and project sourcing initiatives.
Detailed Job Requirements:
•Develop & execute sourcing strategies for complex, strategic and/or critical categories
•Manage scope involving multiple categories to achieve business objectives and benefit targets
•Lead ongoing category management activities within assigned scope to achieve business objectives and benefit targets
•Manage internal customer relationships and satisfaction
•Maintain external / marketplace awareness related to trends within responsibility scope and supply chain best practices
•Proactively engage Internal Business Partners to communicate new product solutions based on category, market and sourcing information
•Participate in appropriate business team meetings to ensure engagement and facilitate relationships with Internal Business Partners
•Drive the development Supplier and Industry category profiles
•Review and evaluate Total Cost of Ownership models; Lead supplier selection and recommendation activities including qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, long and short lists, RFI and RFP development and analysis
• Develop and secure valuable agreements to procure materials and/or services which meet internal customer requirements
•Establish and drive on-going category management strategy (Scorecards, Business Reviews, Benchmarking, Market Condition Updates, Value Improvements
•Lead Cross-Functional Category Teams across business units as required
•Advise on other sourcing initiatives as required
•Work across Procurement to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities and solutions
•Execute ongoing category activities within assigned scope to achieve business objectives and benefit targets
•Deal directly with Site Managers and Expertise manager to ensure all plant needs are met relating to category.
•Works closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations to define requirements and strategies
Qualifications
Minimum 5-10 years of Manufacturing experience, Operations/Production or related procurement category experience. Project Engineering, maintenance/Reliability Engineering preferred
Bachelor Degree Required, Mechanical Engineering a plus
Advanced degrees (Masters or MBA) preferred
Experience dealing with global companies a plus
