This position is accountable for the design, adoption, implementation, and management of Schneider Electric's Smart Infrastructure Services organization safety, and environment protection programs. The position could be located in Portland Seattle, Omaha, or Denver and is responsible for the Smart Infrastructure business unit in USA and Western Canada. Assures compliance with Country, State/Provincial, local safety, and environmental regulations. Assesses and minimizes the risk of injury to =S= Electric employees and/or liabilities arising out of accidents or environmental exposures in or associated with the work place and the communities in which AP =S= Electric operates.

"1. Coordinates the development of safety, accident loss control and environmental protection strategic business plans to cover short-range operating periods of one to five years and goals for continuous improvement over long range periods of five years or more.
2. Provides professional technical assistance and motivation in the formulation, continuation and adoption of safety, accident loss control, environmental
protection, property conservation, security, executive protection, and motor vehicle safety programs.
3. Develops and maintains bench marking standards that will permit meaningful measurement of effort to meet safety & environmental
objectives.
4. Develops safety, environmental protection and security training programs and materials required to qualify loss control/environmental protection personnel in the areas of technical competence, plan implementation and training, and motivational techniques.
5. Establishes and maintains a safety/environmental liability data base that will provide statistics necessary to analyze and evaluate the capabilities of
individual and organization wide safety and environmental protection operations at any stage of the development of such operations.

Bachelor degree in occupational safety, sciences or engineering with minimum of 10 years experience is required. Experience with Service employees' safety is highly desirable. In depth knowledge of OSHA's general industry and construction, and road construction/traffic safety is required. The position requires about 50% travel in the geographical area of responsibility.
