DURATION: 3 months+
PAY RATE: $15/hour
ESTIMATED START DATE: May 28 or sooner
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 2PM-11PM

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ENTRY-LEVEL HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
SmartSource, Inc is seeking three (3) Help Desk Technicians for a 3+ month opportunity located in the Easton area of Columbus OH. The Help Desk Technicians are responsible for Level I technical assistance of people in the field, assisting field technicians on project, tracking and monitoring of project progress with regards to deadlines and client needs, assisting in scheduling and logistical coordination, and communicating frequently with technicians, team members, and management. Answering IT questions, need to have some background in IT and Coordination experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES FOR ENTRY-LEVEL HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
• Assists in coordinating schedules
• Coordinates with clients schedules and deadlines on all deliverables
• Assists in monitoring teams progress
• Answer questions from technicians
• Assists in preparing progress and planning documentation when necessary
• Attends all client and staff meetings pertaining to project
• Quality inspection of processes
• Provide stellar customer service

JOB QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY-LEVEL HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
• Must be willing to take a background test upon an offer being made
• 1 years experience working in the IT Field
• Help Desk background is needed
• Need to be able to answer questions such as the following below
o What desktop operating systems are you familiar with?
o What server operating systems are you familiar with
o How to locate an IP address on desktop
o What experience do you have with Win XP and can you troubleshoot it
o Walk me through putting a laptop on a wireless network
o How do you troubleshoot a connectivity issue with a desktop that is wired (Ethernet)
• Must have excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
