Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

Our client, a specialty manufacturer of products for the construction industry, is hiring a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst for its Charlotte, NC headquarters. This a high profile role responsible for a broad range of accounting, financial analysis, and reporting tasks. The analyst will work closely with the finance team and other functional managers across an array of activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning and will participate in numerous decision support activities including profitability analysis, pricing analytics, supply/demand modeling, and business development. Strong communication skills will be required in order to research, develop, and present results to senior management. Specific responsibilities are to provide financial, accounting, and business management analytical support to various levels of management; decompose and report on budget and operating variances; assist and develop year-end/quarterly/monthly business unit performance and capital projections; support preparation of financial presentations for management review, cost/status reporting, and decision making; generate reports, graphs, and charts as required using PC and/or financial applications and serve as a resource for technical/functional support; provide guidance and assistance for questions and problems related to financial business management.

•                     Four-year degree is required in finance or accounting

•                     2-4 years of work experience preferably with a mix of finance and strategy exposure

•                     Significant experience with business analytics

•                     Demonstrated analytical/problem solving skills and business acumen

•                     A demonstrated ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams

•                     Strong systems skills in Excel(pivots, VLookup), PowerPoint, with ERP experience

•                     Strong presentation and communication skills
