Job Description

The Service Writer at Casey Chevrolet is responsible for scheduling customer vehicle service appointments and selling needed service repair and/or maintenance.  Essential duties greeting customers in a timely manner; writing up vehicle problems accurately and clearly on the repair order; inspecting the vehicle and recommending additional services as needed; advising customer on the value of maintaining the vehicle in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications; providing a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts; reviewing repair orders to ensure that work is completed,  ensuring any additional work along with customer authorization is documented; and explaining completed repairs and/or maintenance items to the customer.

Job Requirements

Applicants for this position must have previous service experience, a valid driver’s license with 5 negative points or less; possess solid customer service and organization skills with great attention to detail.  Previous experience as an assistant service manager or team leader is preferred.
