Hurricane Sandy Project requiring a Center Manager needed in Cape May location

 

Supervises: Supervisors, Intake Specialists, Case Workers

Responsibilities:

 

  • · Supervise all Supervisors, providing high quality leadership and guidance.

 

  • · Monitor the overall performance of Center teams insuring that goals are met and barriers to performance are addressed. Devise and implement strategies to improve program performance and participation. Promptly address performance deficiencies.

 

  • · Report on Center activities and performance weekly, in accordance with established procedures.

 

  • · Collaborate with Operations Director to insure that operation services are being provided in a high quality and timely manner.

 

  • · Coordinate efforts to develop action plans, and report on action plan activities.
  • · Strive for high levels of customer service while assuring regulatory compliance.
  • · Work with staff to improve program performance and refine systems and procedures for conducting work.
  • · Inform and train or assist in the development, design, and delivery of training for staff.
  • · Monitor and facilitate staff development.
  • · Direct the maintenance of records and files.
  • · Perform regular and timely evaluations of work performance and reviews evaluations developed by subordinate supervisors.
  • · Collaborate with human resources to provide a full range of functions, including interviewing applicants, hiring employees, discipline, discharge, and performance evaluation.
  • · Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • · Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Social Services.

Experience:

 

  • · Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible management experience with at least five of those years in housing program management, real estate, property management or related field, including supervision of a sizable staff.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • · Knowledge of the housing programs and ability to understand, interpret, apply and explain federal and agency policies, regulations, and procedures.

 

  • · Demonstrated ability to work successfully with socio-economic and ethnically diverse populations.

 

  • · Analytical ability to compile and organize reports. Ability to prepare statistical reports and understand/interpret data.

 

  • · Ability to effectively perform with constant interruption and time pressures.

 

  • · Ability to effectively communicate verbally, individually and in groups, with internal contacts, tenants, property owners, and other external contacts as appropriate.

 

  • · Ability to effectively write letters, reports, procedures, maintain documentation and complete required forms.

 

  • · Demonstrated supervisory skills.

 

  • · Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service to the public.

 

  • · Ability to read, write and speak English. Proficiency in Spanish highly desirable.

 

  • · A flexible schedule including ability to perform some evening or weekend work. $40-$45/hr Assignment will last 1-2 years
