Part-Time Positions Available/Day & Evening Shifts Available

Our QUALIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (QMA) will be responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • administration of medications and documentation of medication administration and resident care in accordance with federal, state and local standards and regulations and Hearth Management policies to promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents. 
  • Supervise CNA staff.
  • Communicate residents needs effectively.
  • Attend/participate in scheduled in-service/training programs.
  • Assist with programming activities.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Director of Nursing.

Job Requirements

Education/Training/Experience:

  • High School diploma / GED accepted and may be required per state regulations
  • Medication Management/QMA certification (required) and in good standing on file with the Indiana State Department of Health.
  • Current CNA Certificate in good standing with the Indiana Nursing Assistant Registry.
  • Minimum of one (1) years experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long term care environment.  We also encourage recent program graduates  to apply.
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding
  • Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Hearth Management and the facility.
  • Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
  • Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
      • Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
      • Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data.
      • Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
      • Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Supports and participates in common teamwork:
      • Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
      • Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
      • Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
      • Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
      • Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.
