Job Description

      Business Development, middle market

 

  • Develop new business by networking, negotiating, and closing new relationships, as well as expanding upon existing customers.
  • Evaluate risk assessment of potential customers to meet the Bank's credit standards.
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and business history of prospective customer.
  • Maintain and monitor commercial loan portfolio.
  • Originate commercial loans greater than $1 million- write up of loan proposal and prepare all necessary documentation.
  • Handle larger credit transactions (up to $15 million) with clients with sales up to $100 million.
  • Monitor loan delinquencies, maturities, and workout procedures, when necessary.
  • Participate in community organizations and events as a representative of the bank.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivelant work experience.
  • Eight to ten years experience in commercial lending in Nassau and/or Suffolk County.
  • Experience in low middle market- loans $1-15 million, companies with sales up to $100 million.
  • Imvestment real estate lending a plus.
  • Proficient PC skills.
